Application is by invitation only
But if applications are by invitation only, how do I get invited to apply?
If you want to be invited, email us several months in advance (Jan./Feb.) to see if your idea is a good fit.
At that stage, a paragraph (and an approximate price tag) is enough. If it looks like a fit, we can discuss it via Zoom.Â
Main Application Due Date: May 15th
Supplementary Due Date: Sept. 15th

Recipients must submit Impact Reports within 12-18 months of receipt of the grant (the foundation will provide reporting guidance).
No new applications will be considered until impact reports for previous grants have been received.
The Submission Process:
- All applicants must be IRS-approved 501(c)(3) organizations.
- Advance contact/discussion with Foundation President Elizabeth A. McIntyre via email to discuss grant possibilities is essential. Potential applicants should email Elizabeth at the Roddy email several months in advance of the application deadline (i.e., Jan/Feb) to begin informal discussions.
- Applications are by invitation only; invitations will be issued based on preliminary discussions.
- Applications are due by May 15th, c. one month before the grant review meeting. Additional applications may be submitted by September 15th, but any grants approved then may not be paid until the following January.
- If you are a new applicant, one of the directors will arrange a site visit (usually after the application is received but prior to the grant review meeting). New applicants are encouraged to apply early to allow time to schedule the site visit.
- All information listed in the application form is required.
- Applications, signed by the applicant organization’s chief administrative officer, must be submitted electronically (vice on paper). All other required documents listed in the application form must also be submitted electronically as separate documents.
